Aren't I just the cutest thing you ever did see?

Hey there! I am away excavating in the United Arab Emirates right now, so there's only a sweet Arabian camel to admire Chez Philistine. I will be back January 18, at which time I will surely have some new knits to show off and LOTS of photos of the UAE! Thanks for stopping by...please leave me a comment and let me know you were here!

:-) I once did what you're doing too. I worked as a ceramicist in Egypt, for almost 4 months, in 2001 (I just recently gave up Egyptology for architecture/interior design).

Have a wonderful time, and keep us posted on your findings!

I spent Christmas time in Jordan a few years ago and it was an awesome experience (though I was not excavating!). I hope you have a great time and safe travels!

I'm so jealous! When I was little I used to watch shows on Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the like on PBS and wish that I could be an archeologist. (Ok, I also wanted to be a marine biologist, but I thought I had time to do both.) Hope you're having a blast and thoroughly geeking out.

I'm betting the second after the shutter clicked those big ol nostrils did a big camel snort!!
I've always been very fond of camel eyelashes though..very Marilyn Monroe..and good for keeping the sand out.
Hope you're having an exciting dig.

Just had to post a comment. I found your blog after reading on Fricknits blog that you are one of her favorite reads. At any rate as a new knitter, former archaeologist AND former collector of camels (stuffed, etc) I just thought I should say hi. Can't wait to hear all about your trip.
