Hey there! I am away excavating in the United Arab Emirates right now, so there's only a sweet Arabian camel to admire Chez Philistine. :-) I once did what you're doing too. I worked as a ceramicist in Egypt, for almost 4 months, in 2001 (I just recently gave up Egyptology for architecture/interior design).
Have a wonderful time, and keep us posted on your findings!

I'm so jealous! When I was little I used to watch shows on Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the like on PBS and wish that I could be an archeologist. (Ok, I also wanted to be a marine biologist, but I thought I had time to do both.) Hope you're having a blast and thoroughly geeking out.
