Finished: Embossed Leaves Socks
Yes, dearies, you read that title correctly. The uncouth philistine who brought you the Single Sock Liberation Movement all those months ago has finished a pair. A PAIR. Wow, I can actually wear the socks I've knit! And match! How crazy is that!
The real question is, how could I not finish these?? I was quite smitten with the first sock; the pattern and yarn color was just such a happy marriage that I had to have the mate!
Finished: Embossed Leaves Socks
Pattern: Embossed Leaves from Favorite Socks, designed by Mona Schmidt
Fiber: Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock lightweight in Olivenite
Size: women's foot
Needles: size 1.5 Knitpicks circular needle
Date Started: November 2007
Date Completed: January 2008
Notes: I really, really love this pattern. The pattern repeats are simple and painless, but the resultant leaf motif is awesome. This pattern is what they call a whole lotta bang for your buck! I will definitely knit more Embossed Leaves someday.
So, there you have it. I'm off to a good start on my resolution to knit mates for at least these 12 single socks. One down, eleven to go. Though, I do have a secret that some of you know: I've actually gotten another mate finished. Expect a full report on that sock very, very soon. Look at me, I'm a finisher!
Preliminary exams update: first exam was moved to this Monday, since the original scheduled time conflicted with the course I am TAing this spring. Thus, the cramming continues for another few days before the real fun starts... Life! I want my life back!

Those socks are completely beautiful and inspire sock envy. Every time I see this pattern, I vow I'm going to make a pair, and then I don't...

Those are super! Definitely a perfect match with the yarn and pattern. Wear them proudly.
Congrats on coupling up the pair!
Best of luck on those prelims!!!
Well, damn those look gorgeous! Mine pale by comparison, to the point I am almost glad I gave them to my mom. The pattern really pops with that yarn . . . so pretty! Can't wait to see the other 11!

wow, love that color. and that heel looks great. i was thinking about knitting these but didn't because i don't like gussets, but i think i might knit them now!
Beautiful! But I see that pattern and think "ooh, those would look great in grey." I may need a 12-step program to wean me away from winter colors.
Also: good luck with those exams. Just think of all the relaxing you can do when you emerge on the other side of Monday.
Gorgeous! I've seen a lot of that pattern that never really did it for me, but those are stunning. I'm rethinking my stance on them now :)
Absolutely beautiful! Love the colorway, now I'm even happier that I've got the same in the stash! : )

I really like this pattern, I especially like it in yellow. I think it wouls look good in orange too, and brown. A pair of socks, what has the world come to?
OMG! These are GORGEOUS! I love when people make embossed leaves with a yarn that isn't your typical green.
Lovely! And I love a semi-solid -- these look buttery. Mmm, butter...
Just beautiful! I am in awe!

Seriously? They're beautiful. Congrats on yet another pair completed.
