Poking my head in, if only for a brief moment.

Hi, remember me? I'm that girl who shows you knitting sometimes. And on very rare occasions, a finished, wearable thing, even. Yes, yes, I understand all of the blank, beguiled looks. It HAS been quite some time since I've actually produced stitches on needles for your viewing pleasure. But wait...

Here's some now! A sock in progress! And... and...

There's more! Another sock in progress!

Left: Child's First Sock in progress, knit in Lorna's Laces Shepherd sock, "Firefly"
Right: Clementine's Baltic Socks in progress, knit in Blue Moon Fiber Arts STR lightweight, "Rose Quartz"

And now back to my regularly scheduled unraveling sanity and the academic work load that never ends...

I love the firefly colrway! I was planning on picking that up for myself as a "congrats for finishing exams" gift in a few weeks. The color really brings out the pattern in the sock.

Good luck, good luck, good luck on all of your crapademic commitments-it will be over soon!

I really love that firefly color! Your socks (both) look great. I hope they'll get you through the end of the semester!!! At this point in the semester, I'm bribing myself with sock knitting. There's no shame in it!

Those are some rockin' Project Spectrum socks! (That was much easier to type than it was to say out loud.)
LOVE the colors and yarns you're using. And thanks for posting the link to that pattern - I'm itching for knitting again and that pattern is just calling out to me.

Both socks are stunning, as usual.

BTW the bath I took last night w/ the Lemongrass Sea salts was the best 30 minutes I've spent in a very long time. My mood was foul prior to the bath and during I was able to experience utter relaxation--thank you!!

Oh what beautiful cables. And believe me, I sympathize about the academic work. I'd much rather be crafting then doing loads of reading.

I just discovered your blog through flickr, and have enjoyed reading some of your past posts. I especially love the socks that you're working on, they both look great!

I'm also another knitter feeling the end of the semester crunch...why does it always get so crazy 2 weeks out! So many math simulations and so little time, especially when I'd rather be knitting.

Hang in there!
